Public Input Sought For Parks Water Reuse Irrigation Feasibility Study

The City of New Braunfels is conducting a regional study to determine the potential uses of alternative water sources for parkland irrigation. An overview of the study will be presented at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at Landa Haus in Landa Park. This will be the first of 3 public meetings on the topic.

The project's focus will be the potential of water reuse in support of regional water conservation goals for the Edwards Aquifer and Guadalupe River.

In addition to the City of New Braunfels, participants in the study include New Braunfels Utilities (NBU), Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority (GBRA), Edwards Aquifer Authority (EAA) and the Texas Water Development Board.

The public is encouraged to attend and provide input.
