GBRA to Adjust Hours for Holiday

SEGUIN — The Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority (GBRA) and GBRA Lab will be closed Monday, Jan. 16, 2017. Regular business hours will resume Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 8 a.m.

Please be advised for the adjusted GBRA Lab schedule for all BOD/CBOD/HACH CBOD:

Monday, Jan. 9: The GBRA Lab is NOT accepting any samples (Any samples that are collected/received on this date will incur a holiday fee of four times the charge per sample).

·         Tuesday, Jan. 10: If collection must be done on this day, please collect samples and/or finish composites 2 p.m. or later.

·         Wednesday, Jan. 11 and Thursday, Jan. 12: Collect and/or bring in samples per usual.

·         Monday, Jan. 16: The GBRA Lab is NOT accepting any samples. Facility closed.

 

For all microbiological samples (total coliform, HPC, E. coli and fecal coliform), please review the following schedule:

·         Monday, Jan. 16, 2017: The GBRA Lab is NOT accepting any samples (Any samples that are received will incur a holiday fee of four times the charge per sample).

·         Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017: The GBRA Lab will resume regular hours accepting all microbiological samples.

Note: Not all sample collectors have provided work emails separate from that of the main plant operator. This schedule has only been sent to the operators whose emails we have on file. Please inform all potential samplers of this collection schedule in order to avoid broken hold times and/or holiday fees.

The GBRA was established by the Texas Legislature in 1933 as a water conservation and reclamation district. GBRA provides stewardship for the water resources in its 10-county statutory district, which begins near the headwaters of the Guadalupe and Blanco rivers, ends at San Antonio Bay, and includes Kendall, Comal, Hays, Caldwell, Guadalupe, Gonzales, DeWitt, Victoria, Calhoun, and Refugio counties.
